Skincare In Your 30s: Here Is How To Achieve Perfection Without Stress And Breaking Your Wallet
Makeup In Your 30s: Here is how to achieve perfection without stress and not to break your bank. In this blog post, you will find a step-by-step tutorial for beginners.
I don’t know about you but when I turned 30 I was so happy and excited. I remember celebrating it in style and having a lot of fun. It’s not that you automatically get all of the wrinkles overnight.
But I did start noticing some minor changes in my skin. With aging, your skin starts needing a little bit more hydration.
Since I’m blessed (it’s a blessing and a curse actually) with the oily/combination skin, and after I’ve binged on skincare routines on youtube and after experimenting with some products I have added some new steps and products.
Step 1: Cleancing with Cetaphil Gentle Clear Acne Salicylic Acid
It quickly became my holy grail. This is one of the best clarifying cleansers, especially if your skin is sensitive and/or acne-prone.
It is very soothing for my acne-prone, sensitive skin oily skin and it deep cleans without drying. While Salicylic Acid is fighting my breakouts, soothing aloe, and white tea extract is nourishing my skin.
It’s also very affordable and you can find it in… Target and drugstores.
Step 2: Extra Moisture With Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Gel-Cream with Hyaluronic Acid for Extra-Dry Skin
You can totally skip this if you feel like you don’t need it. Occasionally I feel like my skin happens to be dryer and just need extra love. If your goal is to have extra plump skin this will do it almost instantly and if you continue to use it. your skin will love, love, love you. I have mentioned it to my friend with dry skin and she to this day thanks me for the recommendation.
Step 3: Moisturizing With Gentle Clear Mattifying Acne Moisturizer
I don’t think I will be using anything else anytime soon. It’s amazing. It’s gentle lightweight and nourishing at the same time. It has probiotics and skin nourishing botanicals. After using it for a while my skin had some significant improvement. Overall it became more even-toned and it never broke me out. It’s slightly mattifying, unlike some products I got used to having in my routine.
Step 3: Adding Glow With Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops
So if your goal is to have glowy skin without makeup and parade a healthy complexion, it’s an amazing product to try. I occasionally add this to my skin routine. I either add this to the cream all over or I use it as a highlighter on my cheeks. It has a watermelon smell to it that I happen to love.
Step 4: Reduce Acne With La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo Dual Action Acne Treatment
This is very powerful, so if you can slowly work it into your routine and your skin will love it. You will be happy with the results. My favorite thing about it is that it’s just sooooo good at preventing acne surprises. If you feel like something is about to pop out and you just starting to feel the tension and nagging pain, this one usually stops it for me overnight. And instead of having acne to wake up with redness and an undeveloped whitehead, I wake up with beautiful skin and I feel relieved from dealing with it altogether.
Body Care: Aveeno Restorative Skin Therapy Oat Repairing Cream
The skin on my body is stressed and dry no matter what I do. This cream is on top of my list. It repairs and soothes my skin daily and provides a feeling of comfort and nourishment and it’s not sticky or oily, yet very calming.
Under Arm Care: Dove Refillable Deodorant
I fell in love with the design and I really like how long-lasting it is. I loved everything about it. I happen to travel with it and did not fall apart in any way. It looks great on my counter and it’s very sustainable.
I’m also adding a couple of things you might want to splurge on… Just in case 🙂
Eye Cream: Hydro Boost Eye Gel-Cream
While there are plenty of people who are using their face cream under the eyes and are happy about it, I happened to be one who cannot do it. I mean I can skip it of course but I will notice the difference in my concealer right away.
Lip Balm: Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm
If you are willing to splurge on a lip balm that will keep your lips hydrated and provide immediate relief from being cracked and parched. You will love the high gloss of it without a greasy texture. I couldn’t buy it for the longest time and they finally restoked it. Total must-have!
Sophisticated Perfume: Jo Malone London English Pear & Freesia Cologne
If you are shopping for a sophisticated fruity and floral new perfume. Try this one. I originally bought it in a gift set Sephora Favorites LUXE—The Elevated-Essentials Collection. It creates a very unique individual smell. This beautiful sophisticated perfume just stole my heart. I can’t live without it. It became my signature smell (hehe it’s quite ironic since I have freesias). Right after I sprayed it the first time I bought the whole bottle.
Key Notes: King William Pear, Freesia, and Patchouli.
